I have checked the description of young leaves of Dendrocnide excelsa in Gwen Harden’s et al app Rainforest Plants of Eastern Australia. I don’t think so. The app describes the leaves as having 6-8 pairs of lateral veins (5 pairs in your photo) leaf edges finely toothed to entire (coarsely toothed in your photo), the young leaves with fine blisters (I cannot see any in your photo). The leaf stalks in your photo are purple, which does not occur in D. excelsa.
I have no idea what this is. Sorry. Betty.
