Author's notes

A 1988 specimen from near Tallowa Dam was mistakenly ID'd by the RBG as Haloragis exalata subsp exalata var laevis, but when I visited the area in 2005 what I found was H. serra, growing on a dry rocky site high above the river. This is typical habitat for H. serra (rocky areas on sandstone or limestone in my experience) but way too dry for exalata which prefers being on the water's edge. The RBG have redetermined the original specimen as H. serra.

PS The 3rd photo shows the dry habitat with skeletal soil high above the river, with H. serra being the brighter green plant in the right foreground.
